Use

App Store Connect key and upload

Create an API key, connect it, and upload listing changes as a draft.

Optional

LocalASO works without an Apple account, reading the public listing. A key adds two things: the real keyword field and all localizations of your app, and the option to upload.

Create a key

  1. App Store Connect → Users and Access → Integrations → App Store Connect API → Team Keys → +.
  2. Name it, for example “LocalASO”, and give it the role App Manager.
  3. Download the .p8 file. Apple allows this only once.
  4. Note the Key ID and the Issuer ID.

Connect it

In LocalASO open Settings → App Store Connect, enter Key ID and Issuer ID, choose the .p8 file and click Test connection. Then open your app and re-import to replace the derived keywords with the real ones. The key is stored encrypted with the macOS Keychain and is sent only to Apple to sign requests.

Review and upload

In Optimize choose a variant, then click Review & upload. Tick languages and fields and read the old-versus-new diff and the list of requests. Click Upload to send.

LocalASO writes only to an editable version, or creates the next version. It never submits for review, never touches builds and never deletes anything. Check the draft in App Store Connect and submit it yourself.
