Start

Install on macOS

Download the signed and notarized app, drag it to Applications and open it.

Get the .dmg from the latest release: LocalASO-<version>-arm64.dmg for Apple Silicon or -x64.dmg for Intel. To verify it, run shasum -a 256 <file> and compare with the SHA256SUMS file of the release.

First launch

LocalASO is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so it opens like any other Mac app.

  1. Open the .dmg and drag LocalASO into Applications.
  2. Open LocalASO from Applications and paste your license key.

Updating

The app checks for new versions and tells you when one is available, so you can download it right from the app. Drag the new app over the old one and open it. Your data stays, because it lives outside the app. Updates are included with your license and are released regularly.
