What LocalASO is and the shortest path from download to your first keyword board.

What LocalASO is

LocalASO is a Mac app for App Store Optimization. It shows where an app ranks for a keyword in each App Store country, estimates how much a keyword is searched and how hard it is to rank, and helps you write a better name, subtitle and keyword field for every language.

Everything runs on your Mac. Your boards live in a local database, and there is no account and no cloud.

The shortest path

  1. Install the app (signed and notarized by Apple).
  2. Activate your license with the key from your purchase email.
  3. Connect an AI in Settings (Claude Code works out of the box if it is installed).
  4. Add your app and let LocalASO import the listing.
  5. Read the board, then open Optimize.

Requirements

macOS 14 or newer on a Mac (Apple Silicon or Intel). An internet connection for rank checks. An AI provider for localization, suggestions and rewrites.
