App Store keyword field checker

Result
Paste your app name, subtitle and keyword field. The check runs in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere.
What it checks
- App name and subtitle: up to 30 characters each.Apple, app information
- Keyword field: up to 100 bytes, separated by commas without spaces.Apple, platform version information
- Do not repeat words from the name, subtitle or category. Plurals count as repeats.Apple, App Store search
- Skip “app”, “game”, filler words and special characters. Keywords should be longer than two characters.Apple, App Store search and platform version information
Characters or bytes?
Apple’s search guide says 100 characters, the App Store Connect help says 100 bytes. For English they are the same. For other languages they are not: kalorienzähler has 14 characters but 15 bytes, and Japanese 語学学習 has 4 characters but 12 bytes. The checker counts both, so you never get an error when you save.
What it does not know
It cannot see your category or company name, and it does not know whether a word is someone else’s trademark or app name. Remove those yourself: Apple can reject an app for them. It also cannot tell you whether people search a word. That is what keyword research is for: App Store keyword research, step by step.
