Comparison
Asodesk alternative: how its plan structure compares with a one-time Mac app
Asodesk sells ASO plans on a monthly basis with separate review-reply add-ons, while LocalASO is a $29 one-time Mac app for App Store keyword work. As of November 2026 the two overlap on keyword collection and position tracking and differ on stores, teams and review tools.
Asodesk's pricing page is built around discounts, so its prices are hard to quote exactly. This page therefore compares structure first and numbers second.

Which costs less over a year
A plan with 3,000 keywords is useful when you track many apps in many stores. If you check a few hundred keywords for one or two iOS apps, the keyword limits stop mattering and the price is what remains. At $122 per month, a year of Asodesk is about $1,464 before any annual discount. LocalASO is $29 once, and its keyword checks run at about 15 per minute inside Apple's public rate limit, which is the real limit on a big list.
When Asodesk is the better choice
- You track apps on both the App Store and Google Play.
- You manage many apps or client accounts; the 10-app and 30-app tiers exist for that.
- Review replies and notifications in Slack matter to your team.
- You want a vendor trial and a human to talk to; the page offers a demo call.
When LocalASO is the better choice
- You publish on the App Store and want a price you pay once.
- You prefer that keyword lists and competitor research stay on your Mac. See how local data works.
- You want your own AI to adapt keywords and write the localized name, subtitle and keyword field for each language, with a draft upload to App Store Connect.
How to check before you decide
Run the same ten keywords in two countries in each tool, and compare what the tools tell you about volume. LocalASO's volume is an estimate from ratings; ask any vendor where its number comes from. The search volume guide explains why this matters. For other web platforms see the pricing comparison and the App Radar comparison. If LocalASO fits, the pricing page has the license.
